The Posture
Become the regulatory rail.
The U.S. SEC Climate Disclosure Rule, the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, the UK FCA TCFD rules, and the IFRS S2 Sustainability Standards all require organisations to disclose financial-operations-related metrics. None of them currently names a default input format. The IFO4 Standards Council is filing the submissions, comment letters, and outreach packages required to make IFO4 the canonical input.
Every submission below is published in full. Every submission is licensed CC-BY-4.0; regulators may reproduce, reference, or include any submission in regulation or guidance without licensing fee. Every submission, once submitted, will be paired with a Sigstore-signed PDF whose verification key is the IFO4 Standards Council's published key. The submissions are public-record from the moment they are filed.
For Regulators
If you are a regulator and you are reading this:
The IFO4 standards are open. The license is permissive. The technical documentation is complete. The reference implementation is live and producing daily Sigstore-signed cohort snapshots in production. There is no commercial licence to negotiate, no per-seat fee to budget for, and no single-vendor lock-in.
You may incorporate any IFO4 standard, in whole or in part, into regulation, guidance, supervisory letter, examination manual, taxonomy, or any other instrument of public-record rule-making, with attribution under CC-BY-4.0, without prior consent or notification to IFO4. You may, of course, contact us via press@ifo4.org for an in-depth briefing, joint working group sessions, or input on revisions tailored to your jurisdiction.
The IFO4 Standards Council meets monthly. Council meetings are open to any regulator who wishes to attend. Mireille Vance can arrange a standing observer seat for your office.
