EDP is the dominant procurement vehicle for cloud spend at federation member scale. The federation requires EDP terms to include the annual commitment, the discount tier breakpoints, the early termination provisions, and the unused-credit treatment under UFMS-001:2.4(f). Renewal cycles are calendared at least one hundred eighty days in advance with renegotiation evidence retained for audit.
An acronym popularised by AWS Enterprise Discount Program in the 2010s; analogous programs from other providers adopted similar shorthand.
Federation members maintain EDP details in the procurement register. Renewal calendars are visible at least one hundred eighty days out. Renegotiation evidence is retained per the audit retention floor under MEV-Annex:3.2 and reviewed annually at procurement consolidation.
