The publicly published price for a service or unit of consumption before any discounts, commitments, or negotiated terms. List price is the reference point against which all subsequent discounting is measured and is the federation-preferred denominator for effective discount disclosure. The federation requires list price to be tracked per service line and refreshed at least quarterly. Effective discount versus list is reported in every procurement renewal evidence package under UFMS-001:2.4(f). List price changes by the vendor are recorded in the rate register.
A retail and trade catalogue term of the late nineteenth century; the IT sense stabilised with the rise of public price lists for cloud services.
Federation members maintain a rate register tracking list price per service line. Effective discount is published in renewal evidence under MEV-Annex:3.2. List price drift over time is reviewed at the annual procurement consolidation.
